Getting Started
What is Ambo? - Ambo Docs
An overview of Ambo, the employee advocacy platform that turns your team into a content distribution engine on LinkedIn.
Ambo is an employee advocacy platform. Admins create and approve content, advocates share it to LinkedIn, and analytics show what’s working. The goal is to get your organization’s message out through the people who work there, not just the company page.
How it works
The flow has three steps:
- Admins create posts: either by writing content directly or by connecting RSS feeds that pull in articles automatically. Each post can have multiple variations targeting different audiences.
- Advocates share to LinkedIn: advocates browse approved content, pick a variation, and share it to their personal LinkedIn profile or schedule it for later.
- Analytics close the loop: Ambo tracks impressions, reactions, comments, and shares so admins can see which content performs and which advocates are most active.
Two roles
Admin
Admins manage the platform. They create and publish posts, configure channels and user access, set up RSS feeds and automated sharing, connect the organization’s LinkedIn page, and review analytics. Admin guides are in the For Admins section of this documentation.
Advocate
Advocates are the people sharing content. They browse posts assigned to them, share to LinkedIn manually or on a schedule, and manage their own notification and sharing preferences. Advocate guides are in the For Advocates section.
Key integrations
| Integration | What it does |
|---|---|
| Advocates connect their LinkedIn account to share posts. Ambo can also share on behalf of the organization’s LinkedIn page. | |
| Slack | Ambo sends notifications to advocates via Slack DMs when new content is available or when a share is confirmed. |
| RSS feeds | Admins add RSS feed URLs to Ambo. A background worker polls those feeds, pulls in new articles, and generates draft post variations using AI. |
