For Advocates

Browsing and Finding Content - Ambo Docs

Discover posts curated for you, filter by status, browse by channel, and understand what each post status means before you share.

Your content feed shows posts that your admin has approved for sharing. Not every post in the organization appears here, only the ones targeted at you specifically, at channels you’re subscribed to, or published as a broadcast to everyone.

What appears in your feed

SourceWhy you see it
Direct assignmentYour admin assigned this variation to you by name.
Channel postThe post targets a channel you’re subscribed to.
BroadcastNo specific target, all advocates in the organization see it.

Posts targeted at channels you haven’t joined, or assigned directly to another advocate, won’t appear in your feed.

To adjust which channels you’re subscribed to, go to Settings → Channels.

Post statuses

Each post in your feed has a status that tells you where it is in your sharing workflow.

StatusWhat it means
NewPublished and available to share. You haven’t shared or scheduled it yet.
ScheduledYou’ve queued this post to share at a future date and time.
SharedYou’ve already shared this post to LinkedIn.
Pending ApprovalA variation was assigned directly to you and needs your review before you can share it.

Filtering your feed

Use the tabs at the top of the Posts page to filter by status: New, Scheduled, Shared, or Pending Approval.

To narrow further, use the channel filter to see only posts from a specific channel. This is useful if you’re subscribed to several channels but want to focus on one topic or team.

Each post card shows the content body, any media attachments, and the expiry date if one has been set. Posts past their expiry date are removed from your feed automatically.

Pending Approval

When a post variation appears in your Pending Approval tab, it means your admin has assigned it directly to you and wants your sign-off before it can be shared.

To act on a pending variation:

  1. Open the variation from the Pending Approval tab.
  2. Review the content, comment, and any attached media.
  3. Click Approve to move it to your New tab for sharing, or Reject to decline it.
  4. If you reject, you must provide a note explaining why. Your admin will be notified.

Once approved, the variation appears in your New tab and you can share it whenever you’re ready.

If you’re an external advocate without a company email ID, you’ll receive a share link via Slack, WhatsApp, or email. Simply open the link to view and share the content, with no Ambo login required.
