For Admins
Managing Users - Ambo Docs
Invite and manage advocates and admins including role assignment, LinkedIn admin access, and removing users.
Ambo has two user roles. Admins manage the platform; advocates use it to share content.
User roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Create and publish posts, manage channels and users, configure org settings, view analytics. |
| Advocate | Browse published content, share posts to LinkedIn, manage personal settings. |
Listing users
Go to Users to see everyone in your organization. The list is paginated. Use the search or filter controls to find specific users.
Changing a user’s role
Open a user’s profile and update the Role field. Click Save.
Changing an advocate to Admin gives them full admin access immediately, including the ability to create posts, manage users, and view all analytics. Only promote users you trust with those capabilities.
LinkedIn admin access
LinkedIn admin access is a separate flag from the Admin role. The admin who has access to manage the LinkedIn company page should be marked LinkedIn admin. Sharing company page posts and retrieving company page followers list for mentions would be done using this user account.
To set it, open the user’s profile and toggle LinkedIn Admin on or off.
Removing a user
Open the user’s profile and click Delete. This is permanent and removes their access immediately.
Their past shares and analytics data remain in the system. Removing a user does not delete any LinkedIn posts they published while active. Any new analytics wont be recorded.
