Automated Sharing - Ambo Docs
Let Ambo share approved content for you automatically on a set schedule using your organization's defaults or your own custom times.
Automated sharing lets Ambo post content to your LinkedIn on your behalf at scheduled times. When the time slot fires, Ambo picks an available post from your feed and shares it. You don’t need to log in or take any action.
Enabling automated sharing
Go to Settings → Automated Sharing and toggle it on.
Once enabled, Ambo will begin sharing at your configured time slots. If you haven’t set custom slots, it uses your organization’s default schedule.
Org defaults vs custom time slots
By default, your automated shares run on the schedule your admin configured for the organization. If that schedule doesn’t fit your availability, you can set your own.
Under Settings → Automated Sharing, select Custom schedule and add your preferred time slots.
You can add multiple slots. Ambo fires one automated share per slot.
Timezone: Your shares run in your organization’s timezone by default. If you’re in a different timezone, update it in the same settings section.
How Ambo selects what to share
When an automated share slot fires, Ambo:
- Looks at your New tab posts that are published and not yet shared by you.
- Filters to posts that are targetted at you specifically, if not available then it will match your channel subscriptions. If you haven’t subscribed to any channel then it will pick posts which are meant for All Advocates.
- Picks one post to share.
Ambo skips the automated share if you’ve already shared a post or have a manual share scheduled within the next 24 hours. This prevents you from posting to LinkedIn too frequently.
Pausing or disabling
Go to Settings → Automated Sharing and toggle it off. This stops future automated shares but does not cancel any manual shares you’ve already scheduled.
Viewing auto-shares
Automated shares appear in your Shared tab the same as manual shares. There’s no separate indicator for them.
Content customization
Automated shares use the post variation as-is. Ambo does not apply content overrides for automated shares, even if the post allows them.
If you want to edit the content, comment, or media before sharing, do it manually from the New tab.
