For Admins
LinkedIn Company and Showcase Pages - Ambo Docs
Add one or more LinkedIn company pages and showcase pages to Ambo, then publish posts, reposts, and comments as those pages and track their results.
Ambo can post and comment on LinkedIn as your company pages and showcase pages, alongside your advocates. You can add as many pages as you manage, for example a main company page plus a showcase page for each product line or region.
Each page is posted to using the LinkedIn account of the admin who added it.
Before you start
To add a page, you need:
- The Admin role in Ambo
- An admin role on that page in LinkedIn
- Your LinkedIn account connected to Ambo
To connect LinkedIn, switch to the Advocate Dashboard, go to Settings, and click Connect LinkedIn. When an Ambo admin connects, Ambo asks LinkedIn for permission to manage the pages you administer. If you connected before you became an admin, disconnect and connect again so Ambo gets that permission.
Adding a page
- Go to Settings and find the LinkedIn Company Pages section.
- Click Add company page. Ambo fetches the company and showcase pages you administer on LinkedIn.
- Search for the page in the list. Showcase pages have a Showcase tag. Pages already added to Ambo are shown but can’t be selected.
- Select the page and click Add.
The page appears in the list with its logo and an “Added by” line showing which admin’s account it posts through.
If a page you manage doesn’t appear, check in LinkedIn that you have an admin role on it. Then reconnect LinkedIn and try again.
Changing which admin posts for a page
If the admin who added a page leaves, loses their LinkedIn admin role, or disconnects LinkedIn, posts and comments as that page fail. To fix this, another admin who manages the page on LinkedIn adds the same page again. Ambo keeps the page and switches it to post through the new admin’s account.
Publishing as a page
When you create a post, each variation has a share target. To publish a variation as a page:
- In the post editor, open the share target menu on the variation.
- Choose Company Page, then pick the page.
- Set Share at to Share Immediately, or choose Schedule a time and pick a date and time.
- Write the content and publish the post.
With Share Immediately, the variation is posted to that page on LinkedIn when the post goes live. Company page variations don’t need approval and don’t appear in advocates’ feeds.
Each page can be used once per post. Pages already used in the post are hidden from the menu. When you add a new variation by copying one that targets a page, Ambo clears the share target on the copy so you can choose another.
Reposts
A variation that targets a page can have reposts. A repost shares the page’s post again from another account, with its own commentary.
- Select a variation that targets a company page.
- Click Add Repost Variation.
- Choose a share target for the repost, such as an advocate or another company page.
- Write the repost’s text.
Use reposts to have a showcase page or your advocates amplify a post from your main company page.
Commenting as a page
In Comments, you can choose a company page instead of an advocate when writing a comment on a LinkedIn post. Company page comments are posted without approval. See Comments on LinkedIn Posts.
Analytics by page
In Analytics, use the profile filter to choose whose results you see.
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Advocates and all company pages |
| Advocates | Advocates only |
| All Company Pages | Every company and showcase page combined |
| A page name | That page only |
Shares from a page that has been removed still count in analytics and are labeled Removed company page.
Mentions
When you type @ in a post, Ambo searches the followers of your company pages. The search runs through the first company page whose admin has LinkedIn connected. Showcase page followers are not searched, because LinkedIn only supports follower search for company pages. See Post Text Formatting.
Removing a page
- Go to Settings → LinkedIn Company Pages.
- Click the trash icon next to the page and confirm.
After removal, you can’t publish or comment as the page. Posts and comments already made by the page stay on LinkedIn, and their analytics are kept.
Notes
- Any Ambo admin can see and use every added page. Only the admin who added a page needs to manage it on LinkedIn.
- Social listening uses the account of an admin who added a company page to look up companies when your own LinkedIn isn’t connected. See Social Listening for Inspiration.
