Campaigns - Ambo Docs

Group related posts into campaigns, filter posts and analytics by campaign, and share a public campaign page anyone can share from.

A campaign groups related posts under one name, such as a product launch, an event, or a hiring push. Use campaigns to find those posts quickly, measure how they perform together, and give people a single page where they can share them to LinkedIn.

Only admins can create, edit, and delete campaigns. Everyone in your organization can see them and filter posts by them.

Creating a campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Campaign.
  3. Fill in the fields below.
  4. Click Add.
FieldDescription
TitleRequired. The campaign name shown on posts, filters, and the public page.
Hero ImageOptional. A banner image shown on the campaign list and at the top of the public page. PNG, JPG, or GIF up to 10MB. The recommended size is 1200×675 (16:9).
DescriptionOptional. Explains what the campaign is about. Supports bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, bullet and numbered lists, and links.

Adding posts to a campaign

Open a post in the post editor and pick a campaign from the Campaign field. Save the post to apply the change.

A post can belong to one campaign at a time. To remove a post from its campaign, clear the Campaign field. If you haven’t created any campaigns yet, the field is disabled and shows “No campaigns created yet”.

Posts in a campaign show a flag badge on their post card. Hover over it to see the campaign name. The post preview shows the full campaign name.

Filtering by campaign

Once your organization has at least one campaign, a Campaigns filter appears in these places. You can select more than one campaign at a time.

PageWhat the filter does
Posts (admin)Shows only posts in the selected campaigns.
Advocate feedLets advocates narrow their feed to posts in the selected campaigns.
AnalyticsLimits post and advocate metrics to posts in the selected campaigns. Leave it on All campaigns to see everything.

Analytics follow a post’s current campaign. If you move a post to a different campaign, its past engagement counts toward the new campaign.

Public campaign page

A public link opens a page for the campaign that anyone can use to share its posts to LinkedIn. Visitors don’t need an Ambo account. This is useful for partners, customers, event attendees, or anyone else outside your organization’s email domain.

  1. Go to Campaigns.
  2. Open the menu (⋮) on the campaign.
  3. Click Create public link.

Ambo creates the link and copies it to your clipboard. The campaign now shows a Public badge. Send the link by email, Slack, or any other channel.

What visitors see

The page shows your organization’s logo, the campaign’s hero image, title, and description, followed by the posts they can share.

A post appears on the public page only when:

  • It is published and approved.
  • It belongs to the campaign.
  • It has at least one variation with the Broadcast share target.

Only Broadcast variations are shown. Variations targeted at a channel, a specific advocate, or a company page stay private. A repost variation appears only after the original post has been shared.

To share, a visitor clicks a post, picks a variation, and clicks Share. If the variation allows post overrides, they can edit the content before sharing. Ambo asks them to sign in with LinkedIn before the post is shared. Visitors can also click Sign in with LinkedIn at the top of the page first.

After signing in, visitors see two tabs:

TabContents
NewPosts they haven’t shared yet.
SharedPosts they have already shared from this campaign.

Open the menu (⋮) on a public campaign to manage its link.

ActionEffect
Copy public linkCopies the current link to your clipboard.
Regenerate public linkCreates a new link. The old link stops working immediately.
Disable public linkTurns off the public page. The link stops working and the Public badge is removed.

Anyone who opens a regenerated or disabled link sees a “Campaign not available” message. You can create a new link later from the same menu.

Editing and deleting campaigns

To edit a campaign, open its menu (⋮) and click Edit. You can change the title, hero image, and description, then click Save. Changes appear on the public page right away.

To delete a campaign, open its menu and click Delete, then confirm. The posts in the campaign are not deleted. They are removed from the campaign and no longer show the campaign badge. If the campaign had a public link, the link stops working.
